Pickd is creator-led discovery for Accra and Lagos, getting ready to launch. This notice explains what happens to the details you give us when you join the Pickd waitlist.
What we collect
When you join, we keep your name, email address, the city you choose (Accra or Lagos), and the date you agreed to this notice. We don’t ask for anything else. We count visits to the page in total only, without cookies or identifiers that point to you.
Why we collect it
To tell you when Pickd opens in your city, and to send a few updates before launch. We rely on your consent for this, which you give with the checkbox when you join.
Who sees it
Only the Pickd team. We use service providers to run the waitlist: our hosting and database providers, and Resend, which sends our emails. They handle your details only to provide that service to us. We never sell or rent your details.
How long we keep it
Until Pickd has launched and we have sent our launch updates, or until you leave the list, whichever comes first. Then we delete it.
Your choices and rights
- Every email we send has an unsubscribe link. One click takes you off the list.
- You can ask to see, correct or delete your details at any time by writing to hello@thisispickd.com.
- You have rights under Ghana’s Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) and Nigeria’s Data Protection Act, 2023, including the right to complain to Ghana’s Data Protection Commission or the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
Keeping it safe
Your details are stored on secured servers and only Pickd staff can see the list.
Changes
If we change this notice we will update the date above, and we will ask again before using your details in a new way.
